Day 1

On the first day, Tuesday 23rd, the programme was packed.

The event began with a warm welcome address by Tanvir S. Badwal and a brief message from Barry O’Sullivan, AIoD’s coordinator, both from UCC, setting the tone for two days filled with engaging discussions, presentations, and networking opportunities.

In the morning, the state of the art of AIoD was publicised, with the most recent version of the platform being showcased for all the participants, and ADRA-e and ADRA were presented. There was also time for relevant discussions before lunch.

The afternoon was filled with presentations and discussions on three work packages, to be precise:

• WP3 (Decentralised architecture for an open AI community);
• WP4 (Integration of tools & services to support the AI research community);
• WP5 (AI-supportive physical environments).

We couldn’t have asked for a better 1st day!

Day 2

The second day of the event, Wednesday 24th, continued the momentum with another busy schedule. The day started with networking over coffee, followed by another friendly welcome address.

The morning sessions highlighted and discussed work packages 6 (Academic Research Engagement), 7 (Research Applied to Innovation), and 2 (Platform organisation, governance & sustainability).

The afternoon featured parallel breakout sessions focusing on different work packages, moderated by Rafael Tolosana and Susanne Kuehrer.  Joana Martinheira, from LOBA, then led a presentation and discussion on dissemination, communication, and exploitation strategies, culminating in closing remarks by UCC.

This event was an invaluable opportunity for partners to come together and share insights, while strengthening collaborative efforts.
