LOBA
The 3rd General Assembly was held in June 2024 and hosted by FS6 at the IPN Incubator in the historic city of Coimbra, Portugal. This event marked an important milestone in the project, bringing together key stakeholders, partners, and team members for two days of productive discussions and strategic planning.
Day 1
The day began with arrival and networking, followed by an opening and welcome address from Ana L. Alves (F6S) and a message from the coordinator, Barry O’Sullivan (UCC).
Rafael Tolosana (UNIZAR) provided a general overview of the state of AIoD, followed by presentations on MyLibrary by Antoni Gimeno (ITI) and AI Builder by Swetha L. Murthy and Sangamithra P. Selvam (FHG). The morning sessions continued with Martin Tamjaka from KInIT discussing the integration of new services and RAIL, and Rafael Tolosana speaking on reproducibility. Alexandros Tzounas and Iraklis Klampanos (DEM) concluded the morning with updates on the community portal and migration status.
After a value proposition workshop led by Loredana Bucseaneau (DSME) and a lunch break, the afternoon sessions resumed.
The afternoon sessions featured a presentation on hardware support by Jordi Arjona (ITI) and a discussion led by Joana Martinheira (LOBA) on dissemination, communication, and exploitation. The day ended with parallel breakout sessions focusing on different tasks and work packages, followed by a dinner at Terraço da Alta.
Day 2
Day 2 of the 3rd General Assembly in Coimbra continued with a packed agenda at the IPN Incubator. The day began with a welcome address by Ana L. Alves , followed by presentations and discussions on several key topics. Susanne Kuehrer (EIT) kicked off the morning with insights on WP2, focusing on platform organisation, governance, and sustainability. Jennifer Renoux (ORU) then led a session on WP6, addressing academic research engagement, while Loredana Bucseaneau presented WP7, covering research applied to innovation. The morning concluded with Jennifer Renoux presenting results and feedback from focus groups.
After a brief coffee break, the assembly split into parallel breakout sessions, with one group focusing on WP2-6-7 moderated by Susanne Kuehrer, and another on WP3-4-5 moderated by Rafael Tolosana.
The afternoon featured a presentation on project management and coordination by Tanvir S. Badwal from UCC, followed by a brief discussion. The day concluded with closing remarks from Barry O’Sullivan and further focus group sessions with SMEs and startups, ensuring that all participants had the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing discussions.
